Festus Olatunde ACA, MBA, MBCI – (Chief Executive Officer)
Festus is a Chartered Accountant by training. After working as a Financial Consultant for her Majesty the Queen Mother of England at the Queen Nursing Institute and Queen Nursing Fund, joined Barclays Bank to continue his original banking career in Risk Management, Compliance and financial controls in 1996. Prior to this, Festus worked in Nigeria as Senior Auditor in International Merchant Bank and Chief Inspector of Peoples Bank. In 2004 at Barclays, Festus reconciled the accounting record that led to the recovery of 14million pounds. In recognition of his effort, he was sponsored for his MBA at the University of Manchester Business School. Festus has been headhunted to train and implement risk management and compliance process across Europe, Middle East, and Africa for different organisations including Cummins Inc (An American Multinational Company, Royal Bank of Scotland, Sprit Inc (An Aeroplane manufacturing Company in Glasgow Prestwick) Special Adviser and consultant on revenue and budget to the Chief Executive Officer, Perth and Kinross Council, Senior Consultant, Lloyds Tsb, Senior Consultant Bank of Scotland. Festus was the first set of consultants to implement Sarbanes Oxley and controls and ensure its compliance in Europe, Middle East and Africa forncompanies listed on American Stock Exchange.
The first Chief Executive of Greatway Foundation (A voluntary organisation registered by the Scottish Government to work on youth empowerment and poverty alleviation). The organisation also co-ordinates the annual conference on War Against Poverty in collaboration with Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and University of Edinburgh.
He is the first President and Chief Executive of Scottish Council of African Churches (An established executive body that works in partnership with the Scottish government, different religious organisation, agencies and institutions of learning).
Festus has an MBA from the University of Manchester and MBCI from the Business Continuity Institute. He is also a member of Harvard School of Divinity summer leadership program.
Roger Horam – Msc (Non Executive Director)
Roger headed up Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce’s Projects and Partnerships team for over 12 years, providing specialist consultancy and training services to the public, private and voluntary sectors throughout the UK and Europe. A highly experienced project manager, he has specialist knowledge of mainstream, publicly-funded business support services and has been instrumental in delivering a range of government-funded projects to meet the training and development needs of creative businesses and individuals.
He is also responsible for developing, managing and/or delivering ‘special projects’ accessing a plethora of Transnational, National, Regional and Local public funding.
Roger’s core expertise is e-business working with thousands of businesses over a 10 year period, but his core passion is inclusion and social justice and he has worked tirelessly to ensure an equitable society based on market forces. To this end he has accessed funds to deliver business support and training for under-represented and disadvantaged groups such as ethnic minorities, youth, older people, females and people disadvantaged because of where they live
In Scotland, Roger is amongst the top 5 experts in accessing funding for the public and NGO sectors and is used by a number of agencies.
Roger has an MSc (with Distinction) in Hospitality (Information Technology) Management and is working towards a PhD.
David Adesoye K. Ogunfadebo, ACA, MBA, ACIT (Director)
David Ogunfadebo is currently the Group Vice President, Finance and Accounts of Willow Park Wines & Spirits Ltd, and its numerous subsidiaries, associated and affiliated companies, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. An astute Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, he has over twenty years wide and varied experience in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Auditing and Consulting in a wide range of industries and organizations. He left the shores of Nigeria for Canada in 1998 after having worked for over 10 years as a Bank Examiner at the Central Bank of Nigeria. He was also involved in part time accounting practice, before migrating to Canada. In addition to his professional accounting qualification he also has in his possession an MBA, Finance major obtained from the University of Lagos. He is also a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He is currently responsible for the accounting, finance, internal control and administrative aspects of the company. On a day to day basis he manages the company's financial affairs including internal control, inventory control and cash management. Set up all accounting and billing procedures.
Continuously track financial progress and update financial forecasts and budgets. Make sure the company has adequate insurance at the best price. Prepare financial statements on periodic basis as an aid to Management Information Systems. Ensure constant and up to date regulatory reporting. Develop criteria and systems for attracting, evaluating, hiring, training, motivating, and compensating employees. Specify and manage employee benefits programs and retirement-investment funds. Regularly liaise with financial institutions to ensure adequate funding for the company’s operations.
YUSUF SULEIMAN
Yusuf Suleiman was until October 2011 the Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer of Intercontinental Bank Nigeria Plc. He was one
of the top Management appointed by the Governor of the Central Bank of
Nigeria in August 2009 to midwife the repositioning of the bank and
eventual merger with the core investor, Access Bank Plc in October 2011.
He holds a First-class Honors' degree in Accounting (1988) from the Obafemi Awolowo University,
Ile Ife. He was the best graduating student and also a prize winner in the Faculty of Administration.
He holds a Master in Business Administration specializing in Financial Management from Lagos State
University (1997), and a PGD in Computer Science from Delta State University (199). He is a fellow of
both the Institute of Charted Accountants of Nigeria (2003) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation
of Nigeria (1999). His professional experience spans over 23 years in Financial Controls, Treasury,
Information Technology and Risk Management.
He has been functioning at strategic positions throughout his working career with over 17 years at
the top management level. He started as a Financial Analyst in the Financial Control Department at
International Merchant Bank in 1988. He was at Nigeria-American Merchant Bank Limited (September
1990) which he left in 1995 as Group Head, Financial Control & Operation for Kakawa Discount House
Limited where he was part of the Senior Management team that started the company from inception,
specifically he was directly responsible for Financial Controls and Information Technology functions.
He joined Societe Bancaire as Deputy General Manager and Group Head, Enterprise Risk Management
and Financial Control in July 2002. He acted briefly as the bank's Managing Director between March
2004 and June 2004.
He was at Citibank Nigeria (a subsidiary of Citigroup Inc, the leading global financial services institution)
between July 2004 and October 2009 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer where his continued
exposure to international and Regional Economic System ensured he was abreast of international best
practices in the financial services industry. During his employment at Citibank, he undertook and led
Legal Vehicle Peer Review assignment in several Citibank locations across Africa (Cote d'voire, Zambia,
Tanzania and South Africa). He was a member of Senior Management and also the coordinator, Citibank
Nigeria Legal Vehicle Management Committee.
He joined Intercontinental Bank in October 2009 as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer
with broad responsibility for the Bank's local and offshore subsidiaries, and also directly supervises
Corporate Treasury, Financial Control, Strategy and Human Resources Management group of the Bank
A core and multi Skilled financial expert, he has attended many professional and leadership training
including Harvard Business School, USA (Corporate Level Strategy)
Tina Onehimare Vukor-Quarshie - B. Pharm, MSc, MBA
Tina came out with grade one in the West African School Certificate Examination and as the best graduating student of Idia College, Benin City in 1977.
She attended the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife and bagged a Bachelors of Pharmacy Degree with a 2nd Class Upper Division in 1982 and received best graduating student award in traditional medicine. She later obtained a Masters of Science (M.Sc) degree in Pharmacy from the same University. In 1979, she bagged the Federal Government of Nigeria National Merit Award for scholastic excellence while still in Obafemi Awolowo University.
Tina abandoned Pharmacy for the world of Finance where she studied and obtained Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Benin. She was awarded best graduating student in Business Policy and Entrepreneurial Development. This prepared her for what has turned out to be an outstanding career in Banking.
She started her banking career as Credit Analyst in 1988 with the International Merchant Bank Ltd (Formerly known as First National Bank of Chicago, Lagos). She later joined Zenith Bank Ltd where she rose to the position of Executive Director after working and heading several key divisions. While at Zenith Bank, Tina was the moving force behind the formulation and the implementation of customer care strategies, monitoring, and ensuring maintenance of the established standards.
She has also worked as Divisional Director, Commercial Banking, Guaranty Trust Bank and as Executive Director, Platinum Bank. She is the founder and Service Marshal of TVQ Consulting Group.
